Preconstruction Underway for Bank of Dudley in Downtown Dublin

DCC is honored to have been selected to renovate and expand the Bank of Dudley’s location in Downtown Dublin. There is an enormous amount of history embodied by the buildings currently occupied by the Bank of Dudley. Along with the renovation of their current spaces, they will be expanding to the adjacent building located at 210 W. Jackson Street. This building, formerly occupied by attorney and local historian Scott Thompson, has a rich tradition encompassing several different type of occupants. One of the most interesting occupants were R.L and Gritsie Stephens. Their department store included a fur vault and grand staircase, used for beauty pageants, and was modeled after the New York department stores of the time period. Please visit the blog site below, run by Scott Thompson, for some historical information and photographs of 210 W. Jackson Street. The renovation will take place in multiple phases to allow the Bank of Dudley to remain fully operational throughout the project. Once again, we are extremely proud to be preserving such a magnificent piece of history and to serve the Bank of Dudley as their Construction Manager.
