Project Scope

The East Jordan Plastics expansion project involved constructing a vast 262,500-square-foot facility that integrated a 105,000-square-foot shipping and receiving warehouse with a 157,500-square-foot manufacturing area. The building featured an impressive 33-foot-high roof and included office spaces, break rooms, training rooms, and 16 loading docks. Our work encompassed everything from site preparation and utility installation to security systems and equipment setup.

Challenge

This project started as a speculative building for a local municipality and quickly attracted interest. At that point, the project shifted from an open space with flexibility to a custom build with complete finishes and fittings. Before the project was finished, DCC was contracted to construct an additional section and assisted in setting up the owner’s process equipment.

Solution

We successfully transitioned from a simpler open-space facility to a fully integrated, completed manufacturing and warehouse space. Additionally, our Mechanical division supplied manpower for equipment installation.

Blockquote
New to the area, we relied heavily on DCC's experience, expertise, and advice on building our facility and integrating into the community. They are a trusted partner who built us a fabulous factory on time and on budget. Mike and Tony are pros and a pleasure to work with.”
