Project Scope

The Freudenberg Textile Facility was constructed within a pre-engineered metal building, beginning below floor level with a service basement area of 10,000 square feet. The project encompassed several undertakings housed within a 9,200-square-foot, 75-foot-tall pre-engineered metal building. The structure includes a five-story, 7,400-square-foot steel-framed tower, a three-story, 5,700-square-foot steel/CMU office building, and a one-story, 3,100-square-foot steel/CMU auxiliary service area. The project’s intended use was to convert waste polyethylene materials into usable non-woven fabric materials for various final products. This initiative was significant in terms of environmental energy savings. An extensive working area was required in the existing service area, which measured only 74 feet in width. This presented a challenge for installing and relocating five pad-mounted transformers and extensive underground primary and secondary electrical conductors.
