Project Scope

The Gro Tec Facility in Eatonton, GA, a Pennington Seed Co., Inc. subsidiary, produces numerous custom fertilizer blends for Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and others. This blending system for Gro Tec has been operational since 1993 and required a complete rebuild.
In conjunction with the Sackett Waconia Equipment Supplier, DC initiated the design and procurement of equipment necessary to replace the original blend system fully in February. After several planning and design meetings, the team successfully had all the stainless-steel equipment and materials on-site by September and ready for shutdown. The existing blend tower, blend equipment, complete electrical power, control systems, air, and all ancillary utilities were removed. New equipment arrived on-site and was installed and became operational within six weeks of the shutdown date, running 24 hours a day. The system has been operational since then, producing with the required blend accuracy and capacity.
